About Us

Our Story

Here’s the truth: we spend most of our lives at work, and most of us still don’t really know each other. Sure, we know who uses Reply All, who brings tuna for lunch, and who’s responsible for that 3am Slack notification. But we have no idea who might be free on Monday to watch The Bachelor with us.

Our founder, Emily Stewart, was fresh out of college, new to a big city, and surrounded by smart, driven coworkers, yet couldn’t find a real community. She realized something deeper: workplace connection is broken. People were forced to choose between their kid’s baseball game and another awkward networking event like a happy hour. These events weren’t built for real lives, and they weren’t working for companies either.

Emily realized planning group events isn’t only a nightmare, it’s also an unpromotable task that falls through the cracks. Every person brings a different schedule, social style, and set of interests. One-size-fits-all doesn’t work, and customizing for everyone is nearly impossible. Not to mention expensive. A group hike or book club? Way more affordable than a round of double Manhattans.

So she built CoExperiences in March 2020, the first event concierge that automates experience planning at scale. We match real people to real events that actually fit their lives. We take care of all the logistics, from planning and reservations to making it easy for people to meet. And yes, Emily’s Bachelor watch party is still on Mondays. Bring snacks.
