Emily Stewart Recognized as a 2023 Inno Fire Awards Rising Founder

Our Founder and President, Emily Stewart, was named a 2023 Inno Fire Awards Rising Founder by the Pittsburgh Business Times, recognizing her work reimagining how organizations build belonging.

We are thrilled to share some well deserved recognition for our Founder and President, Emily Stewart.

Emily has been named a 2023 Inno Fire Awards Rising Founder, an honor presented by the Pittsburgh Business Times that celebrates the entrepreneurs and builders sparking innovation across Pittsburgh’s startup ecosystem.

The Inno Fire Awards are Inno’s premier program recognizing the people and companies leading Pittsburgh’s tech and innovation scene forward. Each year, the awards spotlight a class of supporters, founders, and champions shaping what’s next for the region. Emily being named a Rising Founder in 2023 places her among that momentum-building group and is a meaningful milestone for her and for our team.

In their “Belong For Me” feature published September 11, 2023, the Pittsburgh Business Times captured the heart of why Emily started this company in the first place:

“One of the residual effects of the pandemic and remote working has been a lack of employee engagement and connection.”

That challenge is exactly what Emily and our team set out to solve. The work we do is about making belonging something organizations can actually design for, not just hope happens. It is about helping employees form real friendships through experiences that feel personal, inclusive, and genuinely enjoyable.

What drives it all is a belief Emily shared in the feature: the goal is to reduce employee loneliness and improve mental health by helping people form authentic work friendships. Research shows those friendships can be one of the most powerful supports people have, her vision is for this kind of connection to be accessible across organizations everywhere.

Emily, we are proud of you. Thank you for your vision, your grit, and your relentless care for building workplaces where people feel like they truly belong. And to the Pittsburgh Business Times and the Inno Fire Awards community, thank you for recognizing this work and the movement behind it.
