Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership and CoExperiences Launch Strategic Collaboration to Strengthen Community Connections and Support Downtown Businesses
Partnership leverages CoExperiences’ AI platform to spark connection, boost local businesses, and showcase a new model for continued Downtown vitality
PITTSBURGH, PA — The Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership (PDP) and CoExperiences have launched a new strategic collaboration designed to bring people together through shared, local experiences. Building on the district’s continued momentum, including millions of annual visitors and new investment across the Golden Triangle, this partnership brings a first-of-its-kind digital tool that will help spotlight the unique businesses, cultural assets, and experiences that make Downtown Pittsburgh special.
CoExperiences, a Pittsburgh-based company, uses a simple AI-powered platform to match employees, students, and residents with curated, small-group outings. By lowering barriers that often prevent people from getting together, such as identifying shared interests or coordinating schedules, the platform helps people connect more easily. Through this collaboration with the PDP, those outings will encourage participants to engage with Downtown: supporting local businesses, exploring public spaces, attending events and programming, and discovering all the neighborhood has to offer.
“This partnership builds on the positive momentum we’re seeing in Downtown and offers another way to help people discover the small businesses, cultural gems, and experiences that make our neighborhood special,” said Jeremy Waldrup, President & CEO of the Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership. “It’s the people that make the place, and when more people come together and explore all that Downtown has to offer, our community grows stronger.”
Through this collaborative initiative, the PDP and CoExperiences will leverage collective resources and expertise to expand access to the platform, allowing for a greater exchange of data and insights that will help strengthen the PDP’s programming and engagement with the Downtown community.
“This is a historic moment for Pittsburgh, and CoExperiences is proud to be a part of the city’s ongoing renaissance. Our collaboration with the PDP is focused on keeping this energy going by building a lasting infrastructure for meaningful connections and experiences that draw people downtown and make them want to come back again and again,” said Emily Stewart, Founder & CEO, CoExperiences.
CoExperiences has already been widely adopted by organizations, with roughly 10,000 employees and students able to participate in local experiences. The goal is to expand platform participation to 50,000 users, driving thousands of new visits to Downtown venues and helping strengthen the economic vitality of the urban core.
For employers, this collaboration provides a simple, scalable way to strengthen team culture, improve belonging, and encourage employees to spend more time engaging with Downtown, benefits that have become increasingly important as hybrid work reshapes how teams connect.
“Our clients are looking to JLL for innovative solutions to help their employees build authentic connections with their peers and the communities where they live and work,” said Dan Adamski, Executive Managing Director of JLL. “CoExperiences is an innovative Pittsburgh-based AI solution that further highlights our region’s dominance in the AI innovation economy and connects people to place.”
